Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We implemented Google Analytics in order to helps us improve our user experience. The data collected is not directly linked to an individual and is being used for statistics about webpage optimization.
Who we share your data with
The commitment of MyPrivacyPage is that your data will never be sold. It will not be shared without your consent either.
For the purpose of some of our services (eg, “ForgetMe!”), we need to use basic information about you such as your first name and email address in order to deliver the service. These are details we need to communicate to the services you would like to delete your information from (Data Controllers). These Data Controllers will use it to identify you and process the deletion of your records. Our Service does not grant them the permission to keep your email address and first name after the deletion of all of your records has been done.
In order to process the request and ensure the follow up with Data Controllers, we will keep your first name, email and the Data Controller name during the process of having your data removed. Once we receive confirmation that your personal data has been forgotten (deleted or anonymized) by the Data Controller, we will delete your email, only keeping your first name and the Data Controller name, thus making the record not personally identifiable. If you have registered to email lists on MyPrivacyPage such as our newsletters or data breach alerts, these lists are maintained separately and can not be linked to the requests that have been submitted to Data Controllers.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
For the use of some of our service like ForgetMe!, your personal data will be kept during the time required to process your claim and ensure the follow up with Data Controllers, and then all personally identifiable fields such as email addresses will be deleted from this service’s database as explained in previous section.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Your contact information
Please send any questions, data subject requests such as information or deletion of your data to email@example.com.
How we protect your data
We implemented industry standard website and database protection tools to help protect your data. We keep the scope of identifiable data about you to a minimum over time.
What data breach procedures we have in place
In accordance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, we are ready to report any potential breaches within the shortest amount of time possible and in every event, during the delay permitted by law.
What third parties we receive data from
When using some of our services such as DeleteMe!, you accept that Data Controllers send us updates about your data deletion requests. Usually, these updates should not contain any personal information but only status updates about your case. In the event a third party sends us personal information about you by mistake, every copy received by us will be immediately deleted including database records or emails.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
For some of our services and in order to help you exercise your Data Privacy Rights, we might ask you to tell us your country of residency. If this happens, we will use this data to understand which regulation applies to you and how to best help you.
